The Goal:

The client had data coming from multiple tools — revenue, conversions, growth, and forecasts — but no single place where leadership could see how the business was actually performing. Metrics existed, but they were: Scattered across different views Hard to compare over time Difficult to interpret quickly Users were forced to read raw numbers instead of understanding what the numbers meant. This made reporting slow, decisions delayed, and confidence in the data low.

1

The Challenge:

Most businesses already have data — the real problem is making it usable. Early versions of Lens AI exposed users to raw numbers, charts, and metrics without clear guidance. Users could see what was happening, but not what it meant or what to do about it. This created three major issues: Information overload — too many numbers competing for attention No clear priorities — users couldn’t easily tell what was on track vs at risk Slow decision-making — insights were buried instead of surfaced On mobile, this problem became even worse. Dense dashboards lost structure, making it hard for users to quickly understand performance while on the go. Without a clearer experience, Sevy AI risked becoming another “data viewer” instead of a decision-making tool.

The Solution:

I redesigned the product around decision-first UX. 1. Information Architecture I reorganized the dashboard into three clear layers: Overview — Is the business healthy? Performance — Where are we winning or losing? Details — Why is it happening? This lets users go from high-level understanding to deep analysis without getting lost. 2. Visual Hierarchy I introduced: Progress bars Goal vs actual comparisons Color-coded risk and success states So users could see performance instantly instead of reading spreadsheets. 3. Interaction & Flow The dashboard was designed so users can: Change time ranges (daily, weekly, monthly) Switch between metrics without losing context Understand what needs attention right now This turned the interface into a real decision tool, not just a report. 4. Responsive UX I made sure the same clarity worked on mobile — so founders and managers could check performance anywhere without losing meaning.
